0.5 l - 72.5 % vol. alc.

Absinthe Hapsburg Classic used to come from Bulgaria. It usually impresses with its extremely high alcohol content. Here at the Classic Edition it is with 72.5% vol. alc. rather in the middle range of the high percentage of all currently known Absinthes. Therefore it is absolutely necessary to dilute it with water. Drinking it pure would be rather harmful for the oral mucous membranes.
Furthermore it is also suitable as main ingredient for mixed drinks or cocktails. Regarding the taste one can say that the Hapsburg Absinthe Classic with moderate aniseed is slightly bitter like a normal green Verte. A positive aspect is, that it was produced without artificial colorings. According to the manufacturer it comes from a traditional recipe. However, it was not distilled. Just try it.
Recently Hapsburg Absinthe does not come from Bulgaria anymore but from Italy. There the initiator of Hapsburg Absinthe has chosen the spirit producer Pallini for his new Absinthe creations.
